about
Jayden Nicole Binnix, known professionally as Black Polish, is an accomplished musician whose journey began at just 13 years old. Drawn to songwriting and production early on, Jayden developed a genre-blending sound shaped by influences like Twenty One Pilots, Fleetwood Mac, Nicki Minaj, Melanie Martinez, and Mitski.
At 15, Jayden released their debut single, “Sophie”, followed by their first EP, Out of Place (2021), which showcased their talents as a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. The EP gained traction and earned Black Polish spots on major Spotify playlists such as New Music Friday, Fresh Finds Indie, and Lorem.
Their single, “Graves,” was created in collaboration with longtime creative partners Maia Kelly, Taylor Jamison, Ryan Raines (producer), Yianni AP (mixer), and Thèo Quayle (mastering engineer), highlighting Jayden’s continued artistic evolution.
Black Polish has been featured on over 25 curated Spotify playlists, including All New Indie, Feel-Good Indie Rock, and Indie Gaming. In 2022, they co-wrote and performed “Armageddon” with Brett “Leland” McLaughlin, Ryan Raines, and Gabe Reali for the Netflix series Love, Victor.
In pursuit of their musical ambitions, Jayden moved from Maryland to Los Angeles, quickly debuting with a full band at the Make Out Music venue and performing at the We Found New Music concert series. At 17, Jayden reached a major milestone - 5 million streams - and shortly after turning 18, signed their first recording and publishing deals with Riptide Music Group and Rough Trade Publishing.
With a distinctive voice, a growing catalog, and an expanding fanbase, Black Polish continues to carve out a bold path in today’s music scene.
